Saint Alphonsus ER physicians Brian Boesiger MD and Eric Quinn MD are known for their engaging demonstration about the importance of wearing bicycle helmets. The two doctors took their show on the road - actually the Greenbelt - for a TV story involving helmets, watermelons and bicycles. Local ABC affiliate KIVI produced a story for their late newscast that generated an outpouring of kudos. The story also included an interview with Ashley Berman. 9 years ago she was in the Saint Alphonsus ER after being hit by a car. Had she not been wearing a helmet - Ashley believes she wouldn't have made it. Now the 19 year old Treasure Valley girl is an outspoken supporter of bicycle helmets.
